Lolene continues to share her perspective on the ups and downs of love relationships. This time, Lolene’s message carries you from those early years of self-centeredness, through the experience of seeking and finding true love, seeing that love tested and lost, to the reconciliation that yields a long-term bliss. Surely, this emotional roller coaster of love embodies “Everything You Are”
During your early, self-centered years, you leave your parents and strike out on your own “Concrete Ribbon.” However, you learn that the independence and freedom you seek along that lonely road can imprison you and tie you down to the same old, same old routine instead of setting you free. This sense of entrapment in your own prison leads you to desire a “Life Less Ordinary” one based on an extraordinary love, where you give more than you take.
The focus of your search shifts from an endless stream of casual relationships to potential life partners. In this search, you will find some who need to “Clean Up” their act to be worthy of your love. Eventually, when you meet that special person, you both realize that the mutual love you seek is the key to freedom from your personal prisons. This leads to a plea of “Let Me Love You” because everything prayed for is “Everything You Are.”
However, you eventually will realize that merely finding the love of your life does not guarantee a happy ever after reality. Such a mutual, exclusive love will be tested, and you pray that both of you will be strong enough to “Hold Out For Love” when the temptations appear. If one of you yield to the temptations, separation frequently occurs.
During these sad periods of separation, your emotions swing widely. At times you may tell him with a self assured confidence that “Love Is What You Lost” when he wants your love back.
